Mardy Fish is an American Tennis player and is famous for his exceptional skills and professionalism on the Tennis court. Born to a tennis instructor, Fish started his determination toward tennis at the age of 2. He started playing as a professional tennis player in 2000 and secured a winning position on the ATP Tour in 2002. He recently shared the story of his life and the years of depression in the 2021 Netflix documentary series Untold: Breaking Point. Fish is loved by many people throughout the world and supported by his well-wishers who go by the name ‘Fishheads’. He took to the game of golf and received an invitation to play in the PGA Tour in Minnesota, USA.

When did Mardy Fish start his career?

His tennis career rose to prominence and received its highlight in the early 2000s. Fish reached the finals of the Summer Olympic Games in 2004 and secured his top-notch position by winning six tournaments on the ATP Tour. After having an accidental injury in his wrist, he underwent two surgeries and took a break in 2005. Despite the pain and surgery, he managed to play 17 matches in the year and secure the place he made for himself. He occupied the first American position in the ATP rankings and reached his highest ranking of World No. 7.

In 2011, he won 43 matches along with getting qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. His career-best tournament results are the Hopman Cup 2008 winner, 2007 Australian Open quarterfinals, 2008 US Open, and 2011 Wimbledon Championships along with winning eight career doubles. Retirement

Fish announced his official retirement in 2015, just after the US Open, and became the captain of the United States Davis Cup Team. He has an amazing tennis career with a total of 762 matches and 14 career titles. Fish had a win rate of around 58% in singles and 56% in doubles. As a result, he made over $7.3 million in prize money and won a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics.

He married Stacey Gardner, a lawyer and model from California in 2008. The couple got blessed with a boy, Beckett Gardner Fish in 2014.
