French Open 2022: Coco Gauff reached into singles as well as doubles final in Roland Garros 2022

Coco Gauff becomes the youngest Grand Slam Singles finalist since Maria Sharapova in 2004

The 18-year-old Coco Gauff is creating some history by reaching the singles as well as the doubles of the French Open 2022. The young American made her debut on Thursday, in the semifinals of any Grand Slam at 18 and now she entered her first-ever final in both Singles and Doubles.

Coco Gauff came through an easy victory over another semifinal debutant, Martina Trevisan by 6-3,6-1 in the Singles semifinals. She made her Doubles debut in any Grand Slams final with her fellow partner Jessica Pegula.

Coco Gauff passed through all rounds without a single set drop while the duo of Coco and Pegula dropped only one set in the quarterfinals. She will face the World No 1, Iga Swiatek in the finals on Saturday, 3 June.

Debutants played in the semifinals but Coco Gauff took one step more to reach her first Grand Slam final.

Coco Gauff reached into Singles finals in Roland Garros 2022

American teenager Coco Gauff could not make it through her Wimbledon run at 15. Now she’s made the French Open final at 18 and will face the sensational Iga Swiatek in the finals.

Gauff faced Marino in the first round where she beat her 7-5,6-0. Followed by again a second set deciding tiebreak in the second round against Van Uytvanck. She played some dramatic tennis against Estonian opponent, Kaia Kanepi, resulting in 6-3,6-4. Gauff outplayed the 31st seed, Elise Mertens in another straight-set streak by 6-4,6-0.

Coco Gauff faced her fellow countrymate, Sloane Stephens, in the quarters. Her brilliant performance continued as she took away a game and a set at the crucial time against Stephens. She played an outstanding match versus fellow semifinal debutant, Maria Trevisan by 6-3,6-1.

Coco Gauff reached the Doubles finals in Roland Garros 2022

The American duo played some extraordinary tennis against some best Women’s Doubles pairs through to the finals. They faced the 10th-seed Mirza-Hradecka pair and won easily by 6-4,6-3. Coco and Pegula fought till the end in the semis against the American pair to win at 6-4,7-6.
