A brilliant win by Carolina Garcia to claim her third grass-level tour.

Carolina Garcia came back after the first set down against Bianca Andreescu

Even after the first set down, Garcia fought back in the second set to stay in the final match. The first set ended in a neck-to-neck tiebreak in favour of the Canadians. However, the former Top 10 player did not head down and therefore, took advantage of one break of the game. Bianca Andreescu could not hold her lead of 7-6(5), 4-2 against Garcia which ultimately was levelled by her.

Garcia won straight-four games to wrap the second set, leading to a decider. World No 75 overcame her much-needed victory in the Bad Homburg Open 2022. Garcia let Bianca await her first title since her win in New York three years ago. She was also up 2-0 in the third set which ultimately, led the match 6-7,6-4,6-4.

The 28-year-old will play her first round of Wimbledon against the British Y. Miyazaki on Monday.
