Third seed Alex de Minaur will take on World No. 53 Ilya Ivashka in the semifinals of the 2022 Atlanta Open on Saturday.
After defeating James Duckworth in straight sets, de Minaur faced Adrian Mannarino in the quarterfinals. Right away, the Australian was having problems. In the very first game of the match, he had to save three break points in order to retain serve. The 23-year-old upped his game moving forward, and for the majority of the second set, neither player wavered. However, the Frenchman was the first to falter, losing serve in the eighth game.
