1. Interested in sports beyond Tennis

Andy did play football along with tennis in his teenage. In one of the interviews, he confessed that he refused the offer for the trials with Glasgow Rangers FC, Scottish Club as he wanted to concentrate on his tennis career. He not only plays these two but also is a huge basketball fan and pro wrestling fan.

2. Born with a bipartite patella

Murray is known for going through many knee surgeries throughout his whole tennis career. He is born with a bipartite patella in his right knee, a condition in which the bones in the knee cap remain separated instead of being joined from childhood. Despite many surgeries, he still sometimes feels pain during matches leading to take him painkilling injections.

Andy Murray is not only a professional tennis player but, has bought a Victorian mansion called Cromlix House in 2013. His brother, Jamie’s wedding took place in the same mansion.

Murray is the only tennis player, male or female, to win two Gold medals in Singles at both the London Olympic Games 2012 as well as Rio de Janeiro 2016.
