26 goals scored in just six matches by the Japan National Football Team

There is no doubt that the Japan National Football Team has been playing their best football in the past couple of years. They have not only performed amazingly against big teams but have also won matches against them. Similarly, post the 2022 FIFA World Cup, they have only lost one match and scored 26 goals in their last six matches. All these matches are against El Salvador, Peru, Germany, Turkey, Canada, and Tunisia.

  • Japan vs El Salvador (6-0)
  • Japan vs Peru (4-1)
  • Japan vs Germany (4-1)
  • Japan vs Turkey (4-2)
  • Japan vs Canada (4-1)
  • Japan vs Tunisia (2-0)

Only two matches have been clean sheets, but it doesn’t matter when the team is scoring at least four goals in a game. Clearly, they are at their top level of football and can challenge every team around the world. Credit goes to their manager, Hajime Moriyasu, and confidence among the Japanese players.

In case you missed: “I want to stay at Real Madrid for the next 10 or 15 years,” says Jude Bellingham

Japan National Football Team rise

Hajime Moriyas joined the team in 2018 and has completely changed their fortune. The team performed incredibly well under his management and made it to the round of 16 matches in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They defeated teams like Spain and Germany, but they lost the round of 16 match against Croatia in the penalties.

Before that, they defeated teams like Canada, South Korea, USA, Australia, Uruguay, and many more. They love scoring goals, and their aggressive gameplay hasn’t stopped their goal count at zero. It is rare that they have failed to score goals and have only lost a few matches in the past few years.

Under Hajime Moriyas, they have a win percentage of more than 67%, which is one of the best win percentages by a Japanese manager.

Not only the manager, but a lot of credit goes to the players as well. Junya Ito, Tekefusa Kubo, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ao Tanaka, Wataru Endo, and many more have been consistent for the team. Both on and off the field, they have been magical. From being aggressive on the field when scoring goals to being calm and disciplined off the field. After every match, they clean the entire dressing room as if no one has ever entered the room.

Clearly, they have their aim set to win the upcoming FIFA World Cup and will do their best to win it.
