#1. Kylian Mbappe: $128 million
The French forward has topped the list of the world’s highest paid footballers, accumulating a total of $128 million. Mbappe is going to earn $110 million from his salary at Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and an additional $18 million from brand endorsements which all are a stable of partners that include Nike, Dior, Hublot, Oakley and Panini.
#2. Lionel Messi: $120 million
Kylian Mbappe’s teammate and previously ranked number 1 highest paid footballer Lionel Messi has seen a dip in his earnings after making a move to PSG from Barcelona. Messi who earned $127 million in 2019 and touched $130 million in 2021 and 2022, will earn only $120 million for the 2022-23 season. Messi will reportedly earn $65 million from his PSG salary and $55 million from his annual brand endorsements.

#3. Cristiano Ronaldo: $100 million
The Manchester United superstar has ended 3rd on this year’s list of highest paid footballers in 2022. Ronaldo who earned $125 million in 2021 has seen a significant dip in his earnings. The 37-year-old is going to earn around $40 million from his Manchester United salary and $60 million from his brand endorsements such as Nike, Herbalife and Livescore.
#4: Neymar: $87 million
Another PSG superstar made it to the list to complete the PSG trio. Neymar made history back in 2017 with a record $263 million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona and in May 2021, he helped convince Messi to come aboard later that year. The Brazilian Winger will earn $55 million from his PSG salary and will earn $32 million from his brand endorsements.
#5: Mohamed Salah: $53 million
One of the best players in the PL has made his way into the top 5 list with $53 million to his name. Salah was named England’s Men’s Footballer of the Year and Playmaker of the Season after a stellar season last, also receiving the league’s Golden Boot Award. The Liverpool superstar will earn $35 million from his club salary and $18 million from his brand endorsements deals.
