Nationality: Scottish

Date of birth: 5 October 1922

John Jock Stein is one of the most successful Scottish managers of all time. He took up coaching in 1960 with Dunfermline Athletic and won the Scottish cup with them. His most successful tenure was with Celtic where he coached for 13 years. He won a total of 25 trophies with Celtic including 10 Scottish league championships, 8 Scottish Cups, 6 Scottish League Cups, and a European Cup. He then also managed Leeds United and the Scottish national team. Stein sadly passed away aged 62.

#4 Valeriy Lobanovskyi – 29 titles

Nationality: Ukrainian

Date of Birth: 6 January 1939

Valeriy Vasylyovych Lobanovskyi stands fourth on the list of managers with most trophies. He first took up coaching with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in 1969 winning the Soviet first league with them. Then he joined Dynamo Kyiv where he had his most remarkable time, winning 28 trophies with the club. He won the league 8 times and also won the European super cup in 1975.

#3 Pep Guardiola – 31 titles

Date of birth: 18 January 1971

One of the most widely known managers in the world, Josep “Pep” Guardiola Sala finds himself third on the list of managers with most trophies. He has managed three of the biggest clubs in Europe starting with Barcelona in 2008. Pep only stayed at the club for four years winning 14 trophies including 3 league titles and 2 champions league titles. He then joined Bayern Munich in 2013 and won 7 titles with the club including 3 league titles. He is currently managing English giants Manchester City and has already claimed 10 trophies to his name including three premier league titles and more to come as they lead the league in the current season.

#2 Mircea Lucescu – 37

Nationality: Romanian

Date of birth: 29 July 1945

Mircea Lucescu is one of the greatest Romanian managers of all time. He managed 14 clubs winning 37 trophies in his career. One of his most remarkable achievements includes winning the UEFA Super Cup with Galatasaray against Real Madrid in 2000. He also won the UEFA Cup with Shakhtar Donetsk in 2008. The Roman manager still continues to add to his glory as he is currently managing Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine.

Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson considered the greatest football manager of all time has won the most trophies as a manager. He won 10 trophies with Aberdeen before taking on Manchester united. At United, he stayed for 27 years winning a total of 37 trophies with them including 13 league titles, 2 UCL titles, and 5 FA cups. Sir Alex is known for taking the red devils to great heights and making them one of the biggest clubs in Europe. His record remains unbroken to this date as none of the managers touch his numbers.
