Arsenal donning all-white kits against Oxford United instead of Red and White. Know The Reasons Behind

Arsenal has won 14 FA Cups with the most recent one being in 2020 where the Gunners defeated Chelsea by 2-1

Modern Football has evolved from being a mere sport into an idea of a voice. The football grounds and games can be best described as excellent venues for staging a protest or raising a voice for a specific cause. Amid the same, Arsenal is going all-white tonight at Littlemore against Oxford United. Also Read Germany Vs Japan Teaches That Football Is More Than Just A Sport

As opposed to their traditional Red and White or their alt kits, Arsenal is donning an all-white unveiled earlier as they aim for a victory. The all-white jersey comes amid Arsenal’s “No More Red” Campaign. The group launched the No More Red Campaign in January 2022 to put a stop to knife violence in the community. The idea stems from Arsenal’s longstanding work done to help young people safe from knife crime and youth violence.

As per official records, during the period of January 2022 to November 2022, London recorded 11,502 cases of knife violence. Arsenal has joined hands with Adidas as they expand the idea of the No More Red Campaign. The cause is supported by champion boxer Anthony Yarde and one of the most prolific actors Idris Elba in addition to many other superstars.

The Arsenal Men don the all-white jersey for the same cause against Oxford United FC. The Gunners start tonight at Kassam Stadium in the FA Cup 3rd round as they look for their 15th trophy. Meanwhile, the Arsenal Women will wear the pre-match training kit and anthem jackets when they play Chelsea on January 15.

On a commercial note, Arsenal is not selling the all-white kits. Instead, they are gifting the jerseys to people who make a difference in society. Additionally, a number of charities associated with the same will receive 10 limited edition kits of the cause.
