Modern Warfare 2’s launch week in 2022 is quickly approaching, and players looking to return to a revamped Call of Duty classic will have the opportunity to earn in-game rewards and items before even logging in. So, today we will discuss how to earn Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Twitch drops.
The game will be officially released worldwide on October 28, but anyone who pre-ordered it will be able to access the campaign a week early on October 20. Players can then begin pre-loading the entire game for its Oct. 28 worldwide launch window. The MW2 preseason officially runs from October 28 to November 15, during which time players can level up ranks and progress through weapon progression before season one begins on November 16.
From Oct. 28 to Nov. 5, players can earn some free in-game content by watching any MW2 Livestream with drops enabled on Twitch during the first week of the preseason. Here’s an overview of what you can earn and how you can earn it.

How to earn Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Twitch drops
Before you begin watching, make sure your Twitch Prime Gaming account is linked to your Call of Duty/Activision account. The rewards will, as expected, be available only to Prime Gaming members.
When your accounts are linked, begin watching any MW2 stream with drops enabled on October 28. Reaching watch milestones can earn players up to four rewards:
- Medallion 141 Weapon Charm after 15 minutes of watching.
- Death’s Angel Calling Card and Emblem after 30 minutes of watching the stream.
- Something In My Teeth Weapon Sticker after 45 minutes of watching the stream.
- Watchdog 141 Weapon Blueprint after 60 minutes of watching.
When the timer for each drop expires, you must redeem the drop before the item appears in your MW2 game. To do so, go to the top of your screen and click the Notifications button. If you’ve been watching long enough, you should see a notification under My Twitch that says “you are now eligible” to get the MW2 item. Click the notification to be taken to the inventory/drops page, where you can redeem the item.
