The TATA Women’s Indian Premier League aka WPL 2024 Auction starts at 15:00 hours on 9th December, 2024.
After a sensational first edition, Mumbai Indians will be looking forward to defend their title. A pool of 165 players, comprising 104 Indians and 61 overseas, will vie for 30 coveted spots in the upcoming WPL auction.
Among them, 56 are seasoned players, while 109 are uncapped. Scheduled for February-March, the 2024 edition expands to Mumbai and Bangalore from the previous single-city format. Gujarat Giants, holding the largest purse, aims to rectify last season’s setbacks, while other teams seek squad enhancements in anticipation of the imminent league.
