Women’s Asia Cup 2022: The intra-continental tournament is set to commence on October 1. Seven teams including, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, Malaysia, and Thailand will compete for the Asian Dominance. The tournament will have a total of 24 matches, with the final to be played on October 15.
The host country and defending champions Bangladesh will face off in the inaugural match against Thailand. However, tournament favorites India will play their first against Sri Lanka on the same day.

History of Women’s Asia Cup
The Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Women’s Asia Cup is a women’s One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket tournament. It was first established in 2004 and played at Colombo and Kandy in Sri Lanka. It is a biennial tournament and is played for Asian Dominance in cricket. The initial four editions were held in ODI format, however, since 2012 all Asia Cups have been held in the T20I format. Women’s Asia Cup 2022 will be the eighth edition.
