Against Quinton de Kock, RR v LSG
The Rewa Express announced his arrival in his first over in IPL with a 146.3 toe-crushing yorker that left even one of the world’s best white-ball openers, Quinton de Kock, in a cumbersome situation. Sen stood up to the expectations of the team management by crashing the stumps of a well-set Deepak Hooda in his second over. The youngster kept his calm in the 20th over to take his side home in a thriller as RR thumped LSG by just 3 runs.
1-51, RR v GT
Inexperience counts in mega tournaments like IPL and RR felt the heat when the Pandya carnage hit their inexperienced bowling unit. As every bowler leaked runs, Sen perhaps had the toughest night of his short T20 career. How pace can be your pal and foe at the same time was a lesson for the youngster. His fastest delivery clocked 145 Kmph and he also dismissed a struggling Vijay Shankar earlier in his spell. But Pandya and Miller took a toll on his bowling as the innings progressed to the death overs.
Two in Two !, RR v RCB
In a low-scoring affair, Sanju Samson and co. were upbeat to defend 144 on Pune and thereby desperately looked for wickets from the start of the chase. RCB were up to a decent start in the powerplay as Du Plessis and Patidar were batting clinically. Sen delivered in the very second delivery of his 1st over, sending Faf Du Plessis back in the hut. Maxwell edged a short of length delivery to the slips and perished for a golden duck. The Rewa Express missed his maiden hat-trick but was still a gamechanger for the Royals. His fastest delivery of the match touched 147 Kmph.
1-29, RR v MI
A rarely lackluster performance from RR in this season, Rohit Sharma and his troops registered their maiden win of IPL 15. Sen came up with another consistent performance which however was not enough to turn the tide for RR. He once tagged bagged the award for the fastest delivery of the match for a 144.7 Kmph short ball to Tilak Varma.
Against Aaron Finch, KKR v RR
Samson called in Sen to bowl within the powerplay against the Knights in Wankhede. The Rewa Express did not disappoint as his 146+ Kmph back off a length outswinger kissed Finch’s willow for an inside edge that ended to rattle the stumps. Kuldeep even clocked 148 Kmph in delivery to KKR captain Shreyas Iyer but still, his spell was not enough for RR to defend a small total.
