Rajasthan Royals, after their winning match on Saturday against Punjab Kings, has informed that one of the crucial members of their team is leaving for his home town mid-season of the Indian Premier League. This crucial player is none other than the destructive batsman, Shimron Hetmyer. He has left for Guyana halfway of the 15th season of IPL. Hetmyer has been in a magnificent form ever since IPL 2022 started and has paved the way to victory for RR in many considerable conditions. Although, Rajasthan Royals have stated that their star cricketer will be back soon into the game of IPL.
Why Did Shimron Hetmyer Leave In The Mid-Season Of IPL 2022?
The reason of the batsmanās temporary pull-out from the tournament is the birth of his first child. Nirvani Hetmyer, the wife of the cricketer, is pregnant with his child and resides in Guyana. Therefore, Hetmyer had to take a leave from the game and go back to his wife and family. Rajasthan Royals has shared a video on their social media handle showing Shimron hugging goodbye to his other teammates from the squad and has phrased some words for the fans of RR.

However, the temporary exit of cricketers from IPL for personal priorities isnāt new. In the 15th season itself, Devon Conway, CSKās batsman, also took a leave from the game owing to his wedding and later came down and joined the team in Mumbai again. Shimron Hetmyer has proven to be a player of great worth and skills for RR. Up until now in the tournament, he has managed to make a total of 291 runs at an average of 72.75. The recent match of Rajasthan Royals was against Punjab Kings where the cricketer scored an unbeaten 31 off 16 deliveries. RR won the match by 6 wickets.
