With the Indian cricketers’ next assignment, IPL, still a week away, the players have made their way to some cheeky social media banters. Delhi Capitals’ pacer, Shardul Thakur, recently posted an image on Instagram with him, Rohit Sharma, and Ajinkya Rahane in the frame. Shardul’s attention-grabbing caption with the image pulled RR spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, into the comments section. Such is the ritual, Chahal’s comments are now doing the rounds on the internet. Check out how Shardul Thakur and Yuzvendra Chahal cheekily trolled Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma:

Shardul Thakur and Yuzvendra Chahal trolled Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma
Shardul (Lord) Thakur posted an image with Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma. The image was clicked during India’s tour of England in 2021. Thakur captioned, “Having bodyguards is just a part of being famous I think”. Chahal, who is very active on social media, made a funny comment on Thakur’s post as he ruthlessly trolled both Rahane and Sharma. He commented, “Bodyguards ki body kahan hai Thakur sahib” with a couple of laughing emojis accompanying his text.
Later, the former Indian captain, Ajinkya Rahane, joined the banter. Rahane commented, “Just walking you out of the dressing room.” along with a rolling on the floor laughing emoji. After being dropped from the Indian test team, Rahane scored a brilliant century in the Ranji Trophy but followed it with a few poor outings, much like his international career. Though he was trolled for his batting of late, the highlight of his career will always be the series victory in Australia last year.

The IPL starts on March 26 with the highly anticipated encounter between CSK and KKR. All of Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ajinkya Rahane will represent different franchises this time around. While Thakur moves to DC, Chahal was bought by RR and the KKR snapped Rahane at the auction last month. Rohit Sharma will continue leading the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians.
