Mumbai city buses play a vital role in transporting Mumbaikars through the nooks and crannies of the city. The buses are known for being affordable and timely. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has launched two brand films under the Pudhe Chala campaign.
The campaign highlights how these buses played a crucial role in the life of Sachin Tendulkar – an athlete, who relied on this mode of transport before his stardom. Teasers for this campaign were launched on April 2, 2022, on Gudi Padwa. The teaser films garnered a huge response with more than six lakh views and more than 10 lakh likes and shares on social media.

“315, Bandra East say Shivaji Park Mere Roz ka Route”
Made by filmmaker Abhinay Deo, one of the films features Sachin Tendulkar, in which he talks about his nostalgic BEST bus journeys taken during his cricket coaching days. In the campaign, Tendulkar recalls how he used to take the bus number 315 early in the morning from Bandra East to reach Shivaji Park for cricket practice. He further tells about how punctual he had to be on the ground as his coach Ramakant Achrekar didn’t tolerate any late comers.
Born into a middle-class family in Bombay, Tendulkar started playing cricket while he was still a little boy, and made his international test debut at the age of 16! And thus began the journey of a cricketer who would smash several long-standing records and create new ones.
Thanking BEST for his timely commute, Sachin ends the film by saying that BEST buses helped him move ahead in life and achieve his dreams.
