50 and out for Pandey!
Manish Pandey notched a valiant fifty off 37 balls but was dismissed the very next ball. A successful review by DK trapped him in front of the wickets. DC 98/7 after 14 overs, need 77 more form 36 balls.
Axar gone!
An knuckle ball outside off invites Axar to drive but he mistimes it and skies an easy catch. He goes for 21 and DC are 80/6 (12.2 overs), need 95 runs from 46 balls! Req Rate is above 12 now!
RCB vs DC: DC struggle at the Halfway Stage
DC have lost another wicket in the form of Abhishek Porel in their quest of 175. Another leading edge of an slower ball led to fall of Porel. Manish Pandey is keeping the fight going and is joined by Axar Patel. DC 57/5 after 10 overs, 118 more runs to get!
RCB vs DC: Powerplay Done!
DC have lost Captain Warner too! Warner was looking dangerous today, he was playing his shots. A slower delivery by the debutant deceives him as toe ends one straight to Virat Kohli at mid wicket. Warner goes for 19, DC 32/4 after 6 overs. They need 143 runs from 84 balls!
And now Dhull departs!
Siraj traps Yash Dhull plumb in front! An optimistic review but it shows three reds. Disaster for Capitals. DC 2/3 after 2.2 overs.
Parnell gets Marsh!
And a familiar start for DC! Wickets tumble early. Virat Kohli shouts mine and completes a clean catch to dismiss Mitch Marsh off the bowling of Wayne Parnell. He is gone for duck and DC are 2/2 (2 overs).
Shaw gone early!
A direct hit from RCB’s impact player sends back DC’s impact player. This is a stunning effort in the field. Good dive, one handed-stop and then a bullseye throw to inflict a direct hit. He didn’t turn up with bat but certainly leaving an impact with that fielding.
DC 1/1 (1 over).
UPDATE: Prithvi Shaw is the impact player for DC, comes in for Mustafizur Rahman! He will open the innings with David Warner.
RCB vs DC: RCB end with 174!
See-saw kind of innings for RCB! At the halfway stage, they look comfortable to go past 200. But the overs 12-14 triggered a mini collapse and RCB never recovered. Their impact played failed to deliver any impact as he managed only 15 runs in his 22 balls. RCB end with 174/6.
DC need 175 runs to put up their first win on the board! The wicket is certainly a bit slow and holding up, DC would like to maximize the powerplay to ensure a smooth chase. Their batting has blown hot-and-cold this season and this could make for a interesting second half of the game!
RCB vs DC: 3 quick wickets follow Lomror!
First Axar Patel removed Harshal Patel. The appeal was for stumping, but ball did catch a faint edge. Harshal is dismissed caught behind.
And then the first ball of the next over Kuldeep gets Maxwell with a loopy delivery. Maxwell slogs but ends up slicing it straight in the air.
And then Kuldeep gets DK very next ball, team hattrick for DC! This was a half tracker, was there to be hit and DK goes back to pull. Doesn’t strike with enough conviction and holes out to deep mid-wicket.
Impact Player (RCB): Anuj Rawat comes in for Mahipal Lomror! he is at crease!
RCB 134/6 (15 overs)… This is some turnaround from the Delhi Capitals!.. RCB have lost their last 4 wickets for just 17 runs!
Successful DRS, second wicket for Marsh!
Marsh was very confident and demanded a review. Warner agreed and went for the DRS which showed a clear spike on the ultra edge. his was a cross seam delivery very wide outside off. Lomror took a swipe and ball did catch a faint edge. Mahipal Lomror departs for 26. RCB are 119/3 after 13 overs.
Partnership broken!
Lalit Yadav breaks the partnership as Virat Kohli hits a juicy full toss straight to Yash Dhull. This looked destined for a six as Kohli backed away for a big heave leg side. But goes towards the longest part of the ropes towards deep mid-wicket. Virat Kohli gone for 50 off 34.
Maxwell gets going in no time. strikes two sixes off Lalit Yadav taking his over for 14 runs. RCB 103/2 (11 overs).
RCB vs DC: Halfway Stage Update!
Royal Challengers Bangalore slowed down after Faf’s wicket with spinners bowling tight lines. But the Royal Challengers have pulled it back with a 19 run over. RCB are 89/1 after 10 overs. A perfect start for RCB, they are looking well-placed to go past 200 again.!
RCB vs DC: Powerplay Done!
Decent Powerplay for RCB! Virat and Faf came out swinging. We saw 3 overs of spin in the powerplay to contain the two batters. Aman Khan took a stunning catch at midwicket to end Faf’s stay for 22 in the 5th over. Mitch Marsh was the one who picked the wicket. RCB 47/1 after powerplay.
