PAK vs NZ: Five Match T20l Series ends with 2-2

In the last match, New Zealand secured a thrilling win by 6 wickets by chasing the milestone of 193. It is the second-highest total ever chased against Pakistan in T20s. Mark Chapman, the player of the match, played a magnificent inning of 104* off 57. He also smashed 11 fours and 4 sixes. Also, James Neesham helped him while chasing 193 with his fabulous inning of 45 off 25 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Both made a partnership of 121* off 56 balls for 5th wicket. Rizwan scored an unbeaten 98 off 62 including 7 fours and 4 sixes. Lets see how PAK vs NZ Series unfolded.

PAK vs NZ: T20I Series Report

If we talked about the series then Pakistan was leading by 2-1 before the fifth match. Pakistan won the first two matches by 88 and 38 runs. While New Zealand came back in the third match and secured a win by 4 runs. In this match, Iftikhar Ahmed played a magnificent inning of 60(24) including 3 fours and 6 sixes. But not helped his team to reach the target. Heavy rains abandoned the fourth match of the series. New Zealand were 164/5 in 18.5 overs before rain interruption.

Mark Chapman won the player of the series award for scoring 290 runs in five games. He registered scores of 34, 65* and 16* in the Lahore matches followed by a score of 71* and a remarkable 104* in Rawalpindi. For Pakistan, Rizwan and Babar were the top scorers in this series with 162 runs and 130 runs respectively. The highest knock played by Babar and Rizwan were 101* and 98* respectively.

Now talking about bowling, For Pakistan the leading wicket-taker was Haris Rauf who got 11 wickets with an average of 13.63. His best performance was 4/18 in the first match. For New Zealand, the leading wicket-taker was Mark Henry who secured 6 wickets. His best performance was 3/32 in the first match. The best economic bowler was Imad Wasim who secured 8 wickets with an economy of 5.92 in this series.

Due to his best performance in the T20 series, Mark Chapman is also added to the ODI squad for the upcoming five-match series against Pakistan. The series will begin in Rawalpindi on 27 April, Thursday.
