If we talked about the series then Pakistan was leading by 2-1 before the fifth match. Pakistan won the first two matches by 88 and 38 runs. While New Zealand came back in the third match and secured a win by 4 runs. In this match, Iftikhar Ahmed played a magnificent inning of 60(24) including 3 fours and 6 sixes. But not helped his team to reach the target. Heavy rains abandoned the fourth match of the series. New Zealand were 164/5 in 18.5 overs before rain interruption.
Mark Chapman won the player of the series award for scoring 290 runs in five games. The best economic bowler was Imad Wasim who secured 8 wickets with an economy of 5.92 in this series.
Due to his best performance in the T20 series, Mark Chapman is also added to the ODI squad for the upcoming five-match series against Pakistan. The series will begin in Rawalpindi on 27 April, Thursday.
