Tabraiz Shamsi said there’s ‘no controversy’ when asked about the Mankad dismissal

Tabraiz Shamsi has always been quite spoken and supportive of the "Mankad Dismissal."

South Africa’s spin bowler Tabraiz Shamsi in a recent interview shared his views on the “Mankad Dismissal.” Shamsi said he would expect ‘the batters to have their foot behind the line’ when asked about the controversial Mankad dismissal.

Commenting on India Women all-rounder Deepti Sharma mankading England Women’s Charlie Dean, Tabraiz Shamsi said,

“My views on that has been quite public, for me, it’s a pure case of, you know, if bowlers have to keep their foot behind the line, the batsman should do the same as well. I think there’s no controversy about that the rules are there, and both sides need to play fair.”

South African national team is in India for a three-match T20 series. Tabraiz Shamsi will be seen in action in the upcoming series. The game will commence on September 28.
