Team India speedster and key player Jasprit Bumrah has officially been ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 world cup 2022. The upcoming multination tournament is set to commence on 16th October in Australia. Ahead of the tournament Indian contingent’s problems seem never-ending as it suffers another massive blow.
Earlier impactful all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the Indian squad due to an injury now Yorker specialist Bumrah will miss out on the tournament due to a severe back injury.
“The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists,” the BCCI said in the statement.
The new Indian squad will now consists of:
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (Wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Dinesh Karthik (Wk), Arshdeep Singh, Rishabh Pant (Wk), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj
While Mohammad Siraj is being named the replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah.
