Rajkot: Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw on Friday smashed a phenomenal 134 off 61 against Assam. Shaw’s innings is the highest T20 score scored by an Indian in the year 2022. Moreover, he scored with a strike rate of 219.67. Including thirteen fours the 22-year-old hit nine sixes in this year’s edition Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at Saurashtra Cricket Association Cricket, Rajkot.
Prithvi Shaw ‘s century and Yashaswi Jaiswal’s 42 off 30 helped Mumbai put up a strong target of 230 runs. Chasing a huge target Assam couldn’t go past 169.
Moreover, earlier the record was held by Karnataka’s Devdutt Padikkal, who had scored an unbeaten 124 in 62 balls against Maharashtra on Mumbai.
