Sreesanth has had a very controversial career. The kind of ups and downs he has faced are not very usual ones. After fighting in the court for so long, Sreesanth actually made a comeback to domestic cricket. In 2021, he appeared in Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophies. The former World Cup-winning squad member Sreesanth has also registred himself for the IPL Mega Auction 2022. Moreover, his base price was 50 lakhs INR, but he went unsold. As a result, Sree has decided to retire from all forms of cricket in March 2022. Now, the speedster has taken to acting, having played an important part in an upcoming Tamil flick starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha. Moreover, now it is being said that Sreesanth will soon be seen in a dance-oriented Bollywood movie.
According to the reports he will also lend his voice for a song in the movie ‘Item Number One’. It is to be noted that Sreesanth is a brilliant dancer. While he was banned from playing cricket, Sree has participated in several reality shows. He appeared in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, a dance show. Moreover, Sreesanth went on to be the runner-up in Bigg Boss season 12 and competed in Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. Apart from this Sree has made appearances as a judge/host/contestant in several Malayalam shows. Earlier, Sree has acted in Hindi, Malayam, Tamil, and Kannada films. However, it will be intersting if he takes acting as a full-time career.
Sreesanth to act and sing in Bollywood movie
A couple of days back it came to public attention that Sreesanth has played south actress Samantha’s boyfriend in an upcoming Tamil film. ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadahl’ has Vijay Sethupati, Samatha, and Nayanthara in lead roles. The movie is in post-production. He is all set to return to Bollywood. He will be seen in a dance-oriented movie titled ‘Item Number One’. The movie will be directed by Paalooran. In addition, Sreesanth will be making his singing debut, singing a fast track for the upcoming. This will be the first time he will showcase his dancing abilities on the big screen.
“I am honoured and thanks to NNG films, especially Paalooran, the director, and Sajeev, the music director. It is my first Hindi project in which I will be singing a song and dancing. I am grateful that the directors and all the people in Kerala are supporting me, especially after my retirement. I am not from an artistic family, this is not my career, but I will be giving 100 per cent in this profession. As a sports person, with all respect to other cricketers and sportspersons who have done acting, I believe I can do much better.
I am playing a good character in the movie. People have seen me dancing on reality shows, but this is a dance-oriented comedy movie. It’s got suspense in the end and a great climax. I am looking forward. I have never danced even in my Tamil movie. It is why I am excited. This is an interesting and challenging role for me.”
