Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. have assured a spot in the CWG 2022 T20 finals. India took on England in the Semi-final 1. Winning the toss, India decided to bat first and put a target of 165 for England Women. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma gave a solid start to the team and they completed 1000 runs as the opening pair. Other than the first match with Australia, India has looked strong. Finally, India’s curse of losing in the knockout fixtures has ended. Previously, in 3 recent ICC tournaments, India’s Men’s and Women’s teams have lost the knockout game.
