Keeping the nostalgia alive, the current squad of Rajasthan Royals have invited the winning and victorious 2008 crew of the Royals for their final match against Gujarat Titans. The match will be played on the 29th of May at Ahmedabad. The main reason of the RR squad inviting the former champions of the year 2008 is to felicitate them and pay them the deserving tribute. This is the first time that Rajasthan Royals have reached the finals after a long period of 14 years.

This get-together of the former legends will be nostalgic and historic. But it will also be equally emotional as they’ll be missing a big part of the team. Shane Warne is definitely missed in the lot and across the world. RR has finally made it to the finals of the tournament after 2008. The owner of the franchise, Manoj Badale seemed quite happy and content about the team’s progress. Talking about their re-union, he said, “We are delighted that so many of our heroes from 2008 have accepted the invitation to join the IPL Final as guests of the Rajasthan Royals.”
He also talked about the ‘legends’. Those who paved the way for Rajasthan Royals to win the IPL Trophy in the first edition. “There is a great group coming. Including Royals legends such as Yusuf Pathan and several of the ‘unknowns’. Those who made such an impact that year like Swapnil Asnodkar and Dinesh Salunkhe. Once you have been part of the Royals family, you never leave, and it has been humbling to have so many messages of support from past players.”
