The New York Knicks and Jalen Brunson might just be in trouble.
What’s happening?
Reports say that Jalen Brunson and the Knicks were in the talks of a signing. Further, it is reported that both the parties had agreed to a bond before a contract could be legally negotiated and formed.
Eventually, the Knicks acquired Brunson for four years at a price of $104 million.
Sources say that there is an “excellent chance” of the NBA investigating the Jalen Brunson deal, even if the rest of the teams do not file an official charge.

Is the Jalen Brunson deal the only one?
However, this isn’t the only contract which involves tampering.
Upon violating tampering rules, the Bulls lost sign-and-trade deal involving Lonzo Ball, Kyle Lowry and Miami Heat.
Their penalty? Both the teams had to give up their next second-round pick. Yep, both the deals were able to keep their targets with them.
What’s surprising, is that the word “tampering” was not used here. The league chose to go with “early free agency discussions”.
Which is how both the teams keeping the players was justified.
