The 19-year-old cricketer from Hyderabad has been a consistent run-getter for Mumbai Indians. His performance looks too mature for his age. He could finally finish a game for MI last night, as he wished to. Mumbai Indians defeated CSK by 5 wickets. After the match, Tilak was seen keeping his bat aside and joining his hands. Some netizens said he’s doing POllard’s celebration, as it was Polly’s birthday. While some others believed it was him paying respect to MS Dhoni. However, it came to be known that Tilak Varma thanked his coach Salam Bayash who has come to watch the match against CSK.
Tilak Varma has been excellent in his first IPL season. The all-rounder has played U19 for India and represents Hyderabad in domestic cricket. He smashed 34 off 32 deliveries against CSK. Looking at his mature performances in difficult situations, skipper Rohit Sharma had huge praise for him. After winning against CSK, Rohit said in the post-match presentation he showed confidence in Tilak saying he’d play for India soon.
