“If the body was in top shape…”- Roger Federer on a possible return to tennis

Post that Laver Cup match, the last match in his career, he is still going to the gym four to five times a week, which means he is taking good care of his body.

Tennis legend Roger Federer bid adieu to the sport in 2022 and post-retirement, he has been enjoying a great deal by spending time with his family, especially with his children.

Post that Laver Cup match, the last match in his career, he is still going to the gym four to five times a week, which means he is taking good care of his body. But he has made it clear during an interview session with Aargauer Zeitung that he is not returning to play professional tennis. However, if his body feels right, he may take part in the exhibition matches.

“If the body was in top shape, I would probably play a few exhibitions. I still go to the gym four to five times a week and try to get my body back into shape with my knees. That’s why I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything,” he said. Also Read: Rennae Stubbs points out similarities between Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic

Roger Federer is living a stress-free life

Away from tennis, Roger Federer has adapted himself to the quiet life which means he has been living a stress-free life by being able to spend quality time with his children.

“The time with the children has changed. The girls have grown, have even more school material, the boys are out of baby age. Rather, our lives have changed as a result. The stress of everyday life is gone for me. I can plan more and I realized that I have to, otherwise I always live according to what comes my way instead of asking myself that we want to do and what our needs are.

Federer retired from tennis after collecting 20 Grand Slam titles. In his last match, he paired up with long-standing rival Rafael Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup. His last appearance at a Grand Slam event was at the 2018 Australian Open where he won his 20th Grand Slam trophy.
