Novak Djokovic claims his 21st Grand Slam title and becomes the second oldest Wimbledon champion

Novak Djokovic continues to dominate at Wimbledon, claiming his 7th Wimbledon title of which four consecutive titles!

The World No 3, Novak Djokovic lifted his 21st Grand Slam title after defeating the Australian, Nick Krygios. Djokovic bounced back after the first set down to win the final by 3-1 sets. Nole is also the second oldest Wimbledon champion after Roger Federer. Novak Djokovic claims his 21st Grand Slam title and becomes the second oldest Wimbledon champion.

The 35-year-old Serbian took one more step ahead of being the second most Men’s Singles Grand Slam winner. He beat Nick Kyrgios 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(3) to become the second-most Grand Slam title holder. Novak commenced the match with a double fault followed by two sensational aces. Still, the 27-year-old Nick Kyrgios was successfully able to get a game break of Nole to lead and wrap up the first set by 6-4.

As known for his strong comebacks, Novak did the same as the last year at Wimbledon to come up with a set down in the final. He reciprocated Nick’s game plan in his second set with a healthy two-game cushion. Therefore continued to follow that game plan to dominate Nick in the third.

But Kyrgios was not easy to be defeated so he didn’t allow Nole to break his game, and so is Novak. Ultimately reaching the tiebreak where Nick flooded many unforced errors, helping Novak to win his dream title.

Djokovic becomes the second oldest Wimbledon champion

The Serb No one also become the second oldest Wimbledon champion after Roger Federer in 2017. Roger was almost towards his 36th birthday, therefore, a few months older than Novak’s present age. Novak has always broke records again and again. He is one of the best players known in the tennis world.

Novak Djokovic recorded the 4th time consecutive Wimbledon title

After Roger won in 2017, Djokovic rained winning Wimbledon trophies for four consecutive years. He defeated his crown from 2018 to 2022 except in 2020, as Wimbledon did not occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Novak is one Wimbledon title behind Roger Federer (8) and equals with Serena Williams (7).

In 2018, Novak won against Kevin Anderson in dramatic straight sets. Then the next year, in 2019 he faced the 8-time Wimbledon champion, Roger Federer and ceased him from the title. However, after a year of the pandemic crisis, Wimbledon was suspended and was resumed the very next year. Novak continued his unbelievable fight to beat Matteo Berrettini in 2021 by 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3.
