Novak Djokovic has advanced to the fourth round of the ongoing Italian Open.

Novak Djokovic vs Cameron Norrie: World No.1 Novak Djokovic has advanced to the fourth round of the ongoing Italian Open. He will lock horns with 13th-seeded Cameron Norrie on Tuesday (May 16).

En route to the Round of 16, the Serb thrashed Grigor Dimitrov and Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the previous rounds. He has already lifted two cups this year- the Adelaide International 1 and the Australian Open. After missing the Sunshine Double due to vaccination status, the 35-year-old got knocked out from the Monte-Carlo Masters and Banja Luka event, before missing the Madrid Open due to elbow niggle. His win-loss record this year is 19-3.

On the other hand, UK’s Cameron Norrie defeated the likes of Marton Fucsovics and Alexander Muller before reaching the current round. He has lifted just one trophy, in Rio Open, where he defeated World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in the final. He has won 25 and lost eight matches this season. The duo have faced each other twice and it’s Djokovic who won both the encounters. They are yet to square off against each other on clay.

Novak Djokovic vs Cameron Norrie prediction

Though both the players are in great form this season, it’s Djokovic who has got the most experience and his being an all-court player will also give him an upper hand over the Brit. But he has been struggling with an elbow injury these days which is somewhat stopping him from going extremely formidable. Despite that, he would still like to dominate in the tournament by beating Norrie.

Prediction: Djokovic in three sets.
