Evert stated that the 21-year-old’s smart scheduling, rests, and training can give her the advantage to enter Paris fully fledged. The Pole withdrew from the Miami Open as well as the Billie Jean King Cup.

“She is fully prepared and clay is her best surface. She has both a great defense and a great offensive arsenal, she takes the ball out of your hand and takes control of every exchange by moving so well and hitting early,” Evert added.

Notably, the World No. 1 has lifted the Roland Garros Cup two times, in 2020 and 2022.

Who can challenge Iga Swiatek at the 2024 French Open? Chris Evert has to say this

Chris Evert then stated that one woman who can challenge Iga Swiatek at the 2024 French Open is World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka. The Belarusian recently outclassed the Pole 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at the 2024 Madrid Open final. The seven-time French Open winner also advised Swiatek to improve on his serving and if Sabalenka wants to beat her, she must constantly attack Swiatek’s second serve.

“I think the area she can improve on is serving and if someone wants to beat her she must constantly attack her second serve. Maybe someone like Aryna Sabalenka can do that, but she has to be consistent and not over-attack,” Evert added.
