NHl Announces the Celebrity Captains and Captains for the All-Star Game in Toronto

The 2024 All-Star Game is all set to be one to watch out for. In addition to the terrific NHL bests, there are some favs who’ll join in for extra fun.

The NHL announced that Canadians Justin Bieber, Will Arnett, Tate McRae and Michael Buble will join Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and Jack and Quinn Hughes, respectively, as celebrity co-captains at the All-Star Game.

The team captains will have a chance to draft their rest of the squad on February 1st.

Morgan Rielly, Leon Draisaitl and Cale Makar are the assistant captains for the All-Star Game.

The upcoming All-Star Weekend, scheduled from February 1-3 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The NHL All-Star Thursday, featuring the Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Player Draft at 6 p.m. ET, broadcasted on SN and ESPN.

During this event, the NHL Alumni Association will unveil its Man of the Year, paying tribute to the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs, the last team to clinch the Stanley Cup (SN). Additionally, the Professional Women’s Hockey League will contribute to the excitement with a 3-on-3 game, which will be broadcasted on SN and ESPN+.

On February 2, the 2024 NHL All-Star Skills presented by DraftKings Sportsbook will take place at 7 p.m. ET, accessible on ESPN, ESPN+, SN, and TVAS. The 2024 Skills features 12 NHL All-Stars competing in eight events for points. The standout performer, accumulating the highest points, will be awarded a remarkable prize of $1 million.
