The loss meant that Minnesota bids adieu to the Stanley Cup in the first round for the third time straight. In the 22 years they have played in the league, The Wild have reached Playoffs on 13 occasions. In 2003, They went to the Stanley Cup Final where the Mighty Ducks defeated them. The past ten years have not been good for the Wild. They played playoffs a whopping 8 times. Of those eight times, six of them ended in a Wild loss in the First round. The curse which began in the 2015-16 season has yet again come to haunt the team from the Land of 10000 Lakes.
