Manu Ginobili, born on July 28, 1977, in Argentina started playing the game following his family’s affinity for the game. His official entry into the game happened back in 1995 for La Roja in the Argentine Basketball League. However, he later moved to his home team Estudiantes Bahia Blanca.

Ginobili then went international as he moved his game international. Manu signed up with
Basket Viola Reggio Calabria in Italy in the 1997-98 season. There he mixed up with some NBA players before San Antonio Spurs picked him up as the 57th pick in the 1999 draft. However, instead of joining the Spurs, he went to Kinder Bologna in Italy. He went on to win Italian League Championship and the 2001 Euro League with the team.

Moreover, he further joined the Argentine National Team in 2002 and won the Olympics Gold with them later in 2004. Simultaneously, he finally joined the Spurs and became a part of the NBA in 2002. From then on, he regularly upgraded his contract with the team until finally retiring in 2018. Despite an injury-jaded career, Ginobili shined in the NBA as he assisted the team in four wins in 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2014. Manu retired in 2018 with the Spurs retired the number 20 jersey along with him.
