Formula E CEO will donate $250,000 to charity if someone beats Max Verstappen to the 2024 Championship

Last season, the Red Bull F1 team did the unimaginable by winning 21 out of 22 Grand Prix—special thanks to their driver Max Verstappen. He won 19 Grand Prix throughout the seasons. Not only that, he single-handedly won both the drivers’ and the constructors’ championships.

Verstappen was unstoppable, and so was the RB19. Similarly, this time they have produced another beast called RB20. Experts have backed them to win the championship again. Similarly, Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds has backed Verstappen to the 2024 Championship, but in a unique way.

Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds said:

“If any one of the other 19 drivers wins the drivers’ championship, we will give a quarter of a million dollars to the charity of choice of the drivers that do win it.”

In case you missed: Lewis Hamilton is aiming for the F1 championship in his last season with Mercedes

That means if someone other than Max Verstappen wins the 2024 Drivers’ Championship, Jeff Dodds will donate $250,000 to charity.

Will Verstappen defend his championship? Or will someone else have the champion title next to his name? For that, we have to wait for a while. Till then, let us know your predictions for the 2024 F1 Champion.
