Since 2019, Israel Adesanya has been one of the hot topics in the UFC. Several fighters came and challenged him, but no one got their hands on the UFC middleweight title until UFC 293. Because Adesanya lost his title to Sean Strickland and ended his title reign.
A few weeks later, Adesanya announced his break from the UFC. This resulted in no title rematch between him and Strickland. As a result, Dricus du Plessis got a chance for the title, and at UFC 297, he defeated Strickland to become the new UFC Middleweight Champion.
Even after all of these, Adesanya is still in the eyes of middleweight fighters. After the fight, du Plessis was asked who he would love to face, and his answer was ‘The Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya.
Dricus du Plessis openly challenged Adesanya by saying:
“Israel Adesanya, get you’re a** back in the UFC.”
Let us rewind a few UFC events to UFC 295 when Alex Pereira won the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Just like du Plessis, he also challenged Adesanya for the title shot as he wanted to level their score.

Adesanya vs. Pereira
For those who don’t know, Adesanya and Pereira have faced each other twice. Both fights were for the UFC middleweight title, and both tasted victory against each other. But he wants to level their score, and he said:
“I want to give him (Israel Adesanya) the chance, and I saw he was not giving me any respect for my callout. If he comes up, nice. If he doesn’t, it doesn’t matter.”
At this moment, I would like to say, be like Israel Adesanya. Even though he is on a break and enjoying UFC for his home, he is still in the minds of UFC fighters.
Which title fight should Adesanya accept, or should he go for a double title shot by facing each one by one? For that, we must wait for a while. Till then, let us look at their head-to-head record.
