Amiran Gogoladze

Gogoladze attempted to submit with an inverted triangle, but he lacked the necessary angle, allowing Flowers to right himself. When Gogoladze tried to hold Flowers while they were upside down, he was thrown into the painting. Gogoladze tapped out shortly after turning to look at his corner while clearly in pain. The native of Georgia clenched his shoulder in agony and scurried out of the cage.

Darrius Flowers

Flowers avoided a foul thanks to the slam’s angle. The Unified MMA Rules prohibit striking the head directly, but Gogoladze’s torso was angled as it hit the ground, causing his shoulders and neck to take the brunt of the blow.

Flowers’ victory in the co-main event of Tuesday’s events marked his fourth straight triumph and provided solid support for his UFC contract. He now has a record of 12-5-1, while Merab Dvalishvili’s teammate Gogoladze has his three-fight winning streak broken.
