The Argentine footballer Claudio Echeverri has been one of the hot topics since the 2024 U17 FIFA World Cup. He captained the Argentine U17 side and scored five goals in their campaign, including a hat trick against Brazil. Since then, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Barcelona are a few clubs that have wanted to sign him. Well, finally, as per Fabriziorom, Manchester City has almost sealed the deal.
Manchester City has presented an official bid to River Plate of €25 million and the full value of the release clause. Both clubs have agreed on the deal, and talks about payment terms are on. Within a few hours, the official deal will be confirmed, and we will see Claudio Echeverri playing for Manchester City in the 2025 season.
He will still be a part of the River Plate team on a loan basis and, as per sources, will make his first appearance in 2025 for City. A top talent will be groomed under Pep Guardiola, and we may see a future star in the making.
