Kaoru Mitoma signs a new long term deal with Brighton until 2027

The Japanese footballer, Kaoru Mitoma signs a new long-term deal with Brighton & Hove Albion. The 26-year-old left winger will be a part of them until 2027. He is one of the main wingers of the club and has performed impressively.

Kaoru Mitoma joined Brighton in 2021 but was loaned to Union SG for a season. Later, he joined Brighton in 2022 and has made over 40 appearances for them. In those 40 appearances, he has scored more than 10 goals, including the Premier League goal of the month (August 2024).

When we take a look at his current season’s performance, he has made a total of 11 appearances for Brighton so far. Moreover, he has scored three goals with four assists, and all his goals have been scored in the Premier League.

To be honest, this is surely one of the best signings by Brighton & Hove Albion in recent times. Their performance in the last couple of years has been impressive. This season, they are aiming to win the Premier League and qualify for the next UEFA Champions League season.
