Max Verstappen cruised ahead of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz to take his first pole position at the Suzuka Circuit. The Dutch driver clinched his sixth pole position this season at the Japanese GP Qualifying.
The Order of Orange Nassau Officer qualified on top with an excellent timing of 1:29:304. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished the top three with equally excellent timings of 0.010 and 0.057 behind Max respectively. Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell finished P6 and P8 respectively.
Sergio Perez, Max’s teammate qualified P4 at the dry Suzuka. Red Bull had a great time in Japan with the results and else wise. The current leader at the Constructor’s table conquered a pole in Japan after 9 years. Alpine did an excellent job with the hard conditions. Esteban Ocon finished fifth ahead of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Alonso who had a miserable Singapore GP finished behind Lewis in his 351st Grand Prix.
Williams racing put out a miserable show with Latifi occupying somewhat his usual position. Alpha Tauri’s Tsunoda, the homeboy failed to impress his crowd due to the brake issues tormenting his car. Mick Schumacher had a close call after putting him on track behind Tsunoda who moved at a slow pace. In all, the race enraptured a lot of drama and action.
Even though Max Verstappen has the pole as of now, he has to head to Steward’s office to ensure his position. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris had a minor but risky incident in the Q3. With a Championship looming, Max Verstappen just requires eight points to win his second World. The Dutch ensured an easy conversion. Well, we look forward to tomorrow and what happens in the ring. Will Max take his crown? Or Leclerc denies him till the next battle?
