The Premier League Golden Glove is a relatively new award, which was handed out for the first time in 2005. The criteria for the award are pretty simple. It is given to the goalkeeper who keeps the cleanest sheets in a Premier League season. Though for many critics it was not at all a way to judge any goalkeeper’s performance. 5.Alisson (Liverpool )- Golden Gloves- 1 time

Alisson has built a reputation for putting his best performance in the toughest moments of games. He has been a commanding presence in the box for the Reds. The Brazilian joined Liverpool in 2018 and immediately made a huge impact on the Reds. . He won the Golden Gloves keeping 21 clean sheets, the most in a Premier League season . The Brazilian international also won the Copa America, before going on to win the Premier League with Liverpool the next season.

Ederson has arguably been one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. He has won several trophies with the club so far, including three Premier League titles, four League Cups, and one FA Cup. Though he was a part of the most impressive team in the history of the Premier League, it wasn’t until the 2019-20 season that He won his first Golden Glove award. He kept 17 clean sheets that season. Manchester City did win the Premier League title last season. Ederson played a crucial role in that, keeping 19 clean sheets to win his second consecutive Golden Glove Award.

3.Pepe Reina (Liverpool) – Golden Gloves- 3 time

Liverpool finished in 3rd place in 2005-06, eight points behind Chelsea, but it was Reina and Liverpool who kept the cleanest sheets. In the 2006-07 season, Liverpool finished again in 3rd place. But it was Pepe Reina who kept the cleanest sheets in the Premier League season. 2007-08, another fantastic year and another spectacular performance from Spanish international. He won his 3rd Golden Glove Award for the Reds.

2.Joe Hart (Manchester City)- Golden Gloves- 4 times

Alongside Petr Cech, Joe Hart is the only goalkeeper to have won the Golden Glove award four times. His performances in the latter part of the decade with England and then with West Ham and Burnley have affected his reputation a lot. But in his prime, Joe Hart was a great goalkeeper. The England international won his first Golden Glove in 2010-11.

He followed that up by winning another Golden Glove in the 2011-12 season when City won their first-ever Premier League title. He kept 17 clean sheets that season. Hart won the Golden Glove again in the 2012-13 season, becoming only the second goalkeeper to win three consecutive golden gloves awards. Joe Hart kept 18 clean sheets that season. His fourth golden glove was in the 2014-15 season. Although Hart kept 14 clean sheets, it was the lowest by any Premier League golden glove-winning goalkeeper.

One of two goalkeepers to have won the Premier League Golden Glove four times. He is one of the finest goalkeeper ever played in the Premier League. Cech arrived at Chelsea in 2004 and spent 11 season’s as the Blue’s first-choice goalkeeper. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he won 13 major trophies, including four Premier League titles and a Champions League.

Over the last decade, Cech has won the Golden Glove award twice once with Chelsea in 2013-14 and once with Arsenal in 2015-16. His win in 2013-14 was fantastic given the fact that ten years had passed when he first won the award. He managed to keep 16 clean sheets that season. Cech won his fourth Premier League Golden Glove award in 2015-16, this time he did it with The Gunners. He kept 16 clean sheets, helping Arsenal to be the first runner up in the Premier League.
