Brighton Vs Newcastle Preview, Team News, and Predicted Lineup

Initial Observations

Brighton & Hove Albion face a long and laborious journey to Tyneside as they prepare to face third-placed Newcastle in Thursday’s Premier League game. Eddie Howe’s team was beaten with a 2-2 draw by Leeds United on the road at the weekend, just one day before Brighton essentially ruined Arsenal’s championship hopes with a 3-0 victory at the Emirates. On Saturday lunchtime, Callum Wilson stepped forward to the spot and provided his colleague some suggestions after the Leeds striker fired a poor spot kick into the hands of Nick Pope following a quickfire Luke Ayling opening at Elland Road.

A fan made his way to the city of Newcastle dugout to speak with Eddie Howe, who was shaken but gladly unharmed by the shameful incident. Wilson’s two assured penalties turned the game upon on its head, but Rasmus Kristensen’s evaded effort 11 minutes after the break ensured an equalizer for Sam Allardyce’s men. Newcastle’s third-place position in the standings for the Premier League is not impregnable for Manchester United, who are simply behind on goal differential, or Liverpool, who are one point worse off despite having played a game more. Newcastle has only earned one point from the past six points on the table in the top division. Also read:Barcelona beats 10-man Osasuna with the help of Jordi Alba’s goal.

In an astonishing performance of tactical brilliance at the Emirates, Brighton all but clinched a second-place finish against an abating Arsenal squad by scoring three goals against Mikel Arteta’s team without reply during the second half. A Deniz Undav send as well as a Pervis Estupinan rebound followed Julio Enciso’s contentious opening goal, which appeared to be the result of Jakub Kiwior taking a stamp to the ankle. Roberto De Zerbi’s team then put an end to their bizarre 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Everton. At the end of the match whistle, De Zerbi slightly dampened the euphoria by stating that Albion may find it tough to retain their desired athletes.

Newcastle Team News

In addition to the shunned Ryan Fraser, Newcastle is going without four other players owing to proven injuries, and Jacob Murphy has also become doubtful because of an unidentified problem.  Sean Longstaff (ankle), Emil Krafth (ACL), Jamaal Lascelles (calf), and Matt Ritchie (knee) can leave the hospital before the campaign is up. This presents Howe with his lone selection issue of the game in the final third. Wilson and Alexander Isak were started at Elland Road by the Magpies manager and started at Elland Road by the Magpies manager, along with Miguel Almiron. Anthony Gordon and Allan Saint-Maximin will put both of them in the running for first-whistle participation.

Brighton Team News

Meanwhile, Brighton forward Enciso made himself the number one target at the Emirates when he slowly hobbled off the field late in the game. As De Zerbi continues to be with no all of Jakub Moder (knee), Tariq Lamptey (knee), Jeremy Sarmiento (ankle), Adam Webster (muscle), Solly March (thigh), Joel Veltman (thigh), and Adam Lallana (thigh), as well as Robert Sanchez (per “an agreement” with De Zerbi again), Brighton will welcome any fitness-related good news. If Veltman is not permitted to play, Moises Caicedo or Pascal Gross should once more line up as an emergency right-back.

Newcastle United’s possible starting lineup:

Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Willock, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Saint-Maximin, Wilson, Isak

Brighton & Hove Albion’s possible starting lineup:

Steele; Gross, Dunk, Colwill, Estupinan; Caicedo, Gilmour; Mitoma, Mac Allister, Enciso; Ferguson
