Sporting came into the draw with a 1 goal deficit in the first leg of the Europa League. This meant Sporting had to do something they had not done before – beat Juventus in an European competition.
Sporting started the game on a high note. They were determined to do the impossible. They had plenty of chances but with little luck.

Juventus had very few chances to talk about. It was mostly about Sporting. They even hit the post one time. In the second half, just when they thought they got that 1 goal it was cleared off the line by the Juve defense.
The ball just wouldn’t go in for the hosts. The game ended in a 1-1 draw which favoured Juventus. Although, they didn’t have a great game they would be happy with the result.
