Istanbul: After multiple earthquakes wrecked Turkey and Syria earlier in the day, The Turkish Football Federation has postponed the days’ Super Lig to a later date.
The Turkish city of Gaziantep dashed in the 7.8 Earthquake that wiped out sections of major Turkish cities. The crumbling aftershocks made the situation worse. The earthquake has already taken out 2300 lives across Turkey and Syria.

Three games had been scheduled for the day. Fenerbahce vs Konyaspor was supposed to be one of the key games on Monday. The other matches were Umraniye vs Adana Demirspor, Giresunspor vs Kayserispor.
The League is currently supposed to resume on Friday woith Antalyaspor taking on Kasimpasa. In addition to the Super Lig matches, The Winter Cup that’s scheduled to begin yesterday is also canceled.
Galatasaray are currently leading teh table after 22 games with 54 points. Fenerbahce is second with 45 points followed by Basaksehir. The defending champions Trabzonspor are sixth with a 16-point deficit over the table toppers.
