Cristiano Ronaldo’s move from European football to Saudi was one of the most historic transfers in history. His transfer to the Al Nassr club of the Saudi Pro League completely changed the scenario of Saudi football.
The reason is that several top football players like Neymar Jr., Kante, Benzema, and many more joined different clubs in the Saudi Pro League. All of these happened almost a year ago, and Cristiano Ronaldo released a big statement about the league.
Cristiano Ronaldo said:
“The Saudi Pro League is more competitive than Ligue 1. We are better than the French League already. The League will be among the top three leagues in the world.”
Not just him, but another footballer believes the Saudi Pro League will be one of the best leagues in the world.
Roma striker Romelu Lukaku said:
“In the next two years, I see the Saudi Pro League becoming one of the best in the world, if not the best.”
He also mentioned, “The clubs make a lot of efforts to bring the ‘big’ players here. They are improving a lot. It could be the best competition in the world.”

Is the Saudi Pro League the best in the world?
The Saudi League currently ranks 66th in the world football league rankings with 66.6 points. On the other hand, the top three leagues, i.e., the English Premier League, La Liga, and the Bundesliga, have a ranking of over 90 points. The league is far behind the top and isn’t the best in the world.
But in the upcoming years, they might surely rank among the top 30 leagues in the world. Moreover, if we see several players from the top leagues move to the Saudi League, they might even end up in the top 10.
