#5. Dino Zoff (Udinese, Mantova, Napoli, Juventus)

Matches – 566 Appearances

The legendary Italian goalkeeper was known for his reflex and aerial abilities and was also kept on the elite list of goalkeepers that includes Lev Yashin and Gordon Banks. Zoff started his career with Udinese, where he played just 4 games before the team got relegated. But in the next season, he helped the team get back on track and helped the team to get back to Serie A. He moved to Mantova after playing four seasons at Udinese. His performances were well noticed by top teams and he was later signed up by Napoli where he spent five seasons before moving to Juventus a staggering eleven seasons, making him come at number five.

#4. Gianluca Pagliuca (UC Sampdoria, Inter Milan, Bologna, Ascoli)

Matches – 596 Appearances

One of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation, he started his career off with Sampdoria and was very successful and bagged some trophies as well before moving to Inter Milan and he joined them for a world record fee of £7 million back then. He reached two UEFA Cup Finals with Inter, winning the second one. In the 1999 season, Pagliuca headed back to his hometown team Bologna, but unfortunately, they got relegated and the one season after he moved up to Serie A with Ascoli. On 17th September 2006, he crossed Dino Zoff and claimed the number one spot of most appearances as a goalkeeper. Which brings him in fourth place.

Totti is the definition of Loyalty, his ambition and faithfulness to his club proved him to be one of the greatest players ever to grace Serie A.
