This match will go down in the history of the IPL as the best-run chase. The Punjab Kings were put to the test first by the Royals, which turned out to be a worrying decision.
The reason was Mayank Agarwal, who smashed 106 runs off 50 balls. He helped the Punjab Kings post a target of 224 runs.
In return, the Royals lost their destructive batter, Jos Butler, in the third over of the chase. But that didn’t stop them because Sanju Samson and Steven Smith managed everything well. Smith scored 50 runs off 27 balls, and Samson scored 85 runs off 42 balls.
Things were looking good, but they lost the wickets of Smith in the 9th over and Samson in the 17th.

The Chennai Super Kings posted 246 runs, and the Royals needed hard-hitting from the first ball of the chase. The Royals opener, Naman Ohja, led the charge by smashing 94 runs from 55 balls.
Not forgetting the important knocks of Michael Lumb (37 runs off 26 balls) and Shane Watson (60 runs off 25 balls). Sadly, they couldn’t chase the target of 247 and only managed to score 223 runs.

3. 222/2 against the Delhi Capitals in 2022
This inning by the Rajasthan Royals will be remembered for ages. Not for the runs scored by both teams. But for the controversial umpiring in that inning.
The Rajasthan Royals were put to the test first, and they made the Capitals worry about their decision. The reason was Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, and Sanju Samson.
