246/5 against the Rajasthan Royals in 2010 is the highest total by CSK in their history. It was a home game for the Yellow Army, and their team gave a perfect run feast for the fans.
Credit goes to their opening batsman, Murali Vijay, who scored 127 runs off 56 balls at a strike rate of 226.78. This inning of his comprised eight fours and 11 sixes. Not forgetting the crucial contributions of Matthew Hayden (34 runs off 21 balls) and Albie Morkel (62 runs off 34 balls).
In return, the Rajasthan Royals came with hard striking but fell short by 23 runs. CSK won the match, and this is their highest total in history.

2. 240/5 against the Kings XI Punjab in 2008
This inning against the Kings XI Punjab in 2008 announced the arrival of CSK. This was the first-ever game of CSK in the IPL and gave one of their best batting performances.
Chennai Super Kings smashed 240 runs at the loss of five wickets, and Michael Hussey led the charge. Hussey scored 116 runs off 54 balls at a strike rate of 214.81. He smashed eight fours and nine sixes in that match.

This inning by the Chennai Super Kings was not long ago. The Eden Gardens stadium hosted the game, and the host team (KKR) opted to bowl first. KKR were confident in their bowling lineup and believed they could stop Chennai at a low score and chase the target.
The decision turned into a blessing in disguise for the Super Kings, as they smashed their third-highest total that day. CSK scored 235/4 in 20 overs.
Both openers (Gaikwad and Conway) gave a good start and scored 60+ runs in the powerplay. Gaikwad scored 35 and Conway 56 runs. Sadly, their partnership couldn’t last long, as Gaikwad lost his wicket.
Then arrived their superstar, Ajinkya Rahane, who scored 71 runs off just 29 balls at a strike rate of 244.68. Later, Shivam Dube joined him with a quick knock of 50 runs in just 21 balls. Collectively, they scored 235 runs and defended the total against KKR.
