Gujarat Titans deputy skipper Rashid Khan has the cricketing world buzzing again. However, it has been for his batting rather than bowling this time around. The ‘Snake Shot’ as Rashid Khan calls it, has caught the attention of fans, closely resembling MS Dhoni’s ‘helicopter’.With a tinge of a hockey players drag-flick coupled along with the ‘helicopter’, the end result is all Rashid as he uncoils and springs back.

Although having been mediocre with the ball, the 23-year old has played match-winning knocks with the bat. His innings of 40 off 21 vs CSK and 31 off 11 against SRH proved to be the difference between the two sides. While the spinner stated that bowling would be his primary focus, he has been working on his batting over the past few years.

“From the last two-three years I’ve been working on my batting. I have that self-belief that I should be there and finishing for the team. I have those skills and talent but it was just about the confidence in myself, that I could finish. The best thing is, I get more opportunity here in this team to bat.”

After conceding 45 runs against his former side, the spinner stated,

“I didn’t bowl as well as I should have”. I bowled four-five bad deliveries and was punished and that is something I had in my mind. On a wicket like this, you can’t miss your line and length, and that is something I haven’t done.”

Nevertheless, with his pyrotechnics in the last over, the Titans were able to chase down what seemed an improbable target.
