The Sports Minister of West Bengal, Manoj Tiwary has showcased some brilliant performances recently with the bat. He is an active participant of the currently on-going Ranji Trophy. During the semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy, Manoj Tiwary hit an excellent century for Bengal against Madhya Pradesh. It was his 29th first-class ton and the way he celebrated his achievement was quite heart-warming.
The 36-year-old cricketer, extracted a handwritten letter out of his pocket and made it face the cameras. The note was for his family, specifically for his wife, which read, “I love you, Susmita”. The fans were pretty mesmerized by the sweet gesture of Tiwary dedicated to his family after his ton.

Manoj Tiwary smashed a knock of 102 runs off 211 deliveries. Along with the Bengal’s sports minister, Shahbaz Ahmed also performed exceptionally well. He scored a total of 116 runs from 209 deliveries. However, Madhya Pradesh Team is still ahead of West Bengal by a large margin of 231 runs.
Tiwary has shown utmost consistency throughout the tournament and has delivered knocks of 73 as well as 136 runs. These were against Jharkhand during the quarter-finals. He handles pressure well and therefore is known to be reliable in stressed situations.
